Sept. 7, 2003 - The really special session
Holden called two special sessions to try and generate more revenue, but served up many of the same old proposals that Republican lawmakers had already rejected. A few measures were agreed to, but not enough to make a significant change for education. Due to my poor drawing skills, several people have brought up questions about this cartoon, so I'll answer the most common one: the substance in the dish is supposed to be old dog food.
